Creating a new OpenAI account

An OpenAI account will be required to activate your AI Agent within your PipeOne account.

If you already have an OpenAI business account (not a personal ChatGPT account), see the step-by-step guide below to generate an API key.

If you only have a personal account, you will need to create a business account. Follow the instructions below to set up your OpenAI account and obtain your API key, which is required to activate your AI Agent within your PipeOne account.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Visit the OpenAI website

2. Signing up

  • Locate the on the right menu “Log in“

  • Click on “API Plataform” and you will be redirected to the log in page

3. Enter Your Information

  • Provide a valid email address that you can access, as OpenAI will send a confirmation email to this address.

  • Create a strong and unique password for security.

4. Verify Your Email

  • Check your inbox for a verification email from OpenAI.

  • Click on the link in the email to confirm your email address.

5. Complete your profile

  • Add your name and birthday

  • Depending on the services you want to use, you might need to provide additional details such as your name, company (if applicable), and intended use of OpenAI's products.

6. Create an organization

  • It will be required to create an API key later.

7. Invite your team (optional)

9. Save the API key

  • Don’t share your key with others

  • If you loose the key, you can find it later or create a new one

.10. Add payment Information

  • If you plan to use services like API access or premium features, you may need to add payment details. You can use a credit card or other available payment methods.

  • You can do it later, if you prefer.

Tips for success

It is important to keep your account safe. Use a strong, unique password and consider enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) if available for extra security.
